Conditions of Sale

The automated system to assess shipping costs will often overcharge. In order to have accurate shipping charges rather than completing payment with the shopping cart, it is better to order by listing items or sending a copy                of the shopping cart in an email to info@babysecure. 

               The shopping cart, does not include the Fuel surcharge.  If the shopping cart is completed, you will be contacted with this amount that will                                            be a Balance Due.

Customer Service & Orders

A representative is generally available Monday - Sunday 10 am - 5 pm EST to help you by phone (514) 485-2323. 

When there is no direct answer, it may be because there is someone using the line. Kindly leave a phone or email message and someone will get back to you as the earliest available time. (in the summer months, the phone may not be directly answered on weekends. Messages will be returned the following Monday).

Because of the individual nature of the construction of homes and fit of the babyproofing products, we strongly encourage you to Contact Us before you place an order for the babyproofing products. This way we can offer our 35 years of knowledge installing the products and give you a wider range of information to help you with your selection. We find this is a big help to avoid lost time, expense and eliminates need for returns.

Payments

For your security, payment for orders placed through the shopping cart on the BABYSECURE site is made through PayPal. PayPal is a service where Babysecure does not have access to seeing your credit card number. It is not necessary to have a Pay Pal account, simply follow the steps and PayPal will allow you to enter your credit card number in their system.

Requests for refunds before products are shipped out are subject to no refundable PayPal fees for processing.

Custom Ordered items need to be paid in advance and there is no exchange. Custom Orders means they are ordered or made specially for you. 

Delivery Charges

In order to have accurate shipping charges it is better to order by listing items or sending a copy of the shopping cart in an email to info@babysecure.ca.

We have chosen to use the Canada Post system with the shopping cart because it is has best prices and has the widest range of service for single packages. Because it is an automated system, it is not perfect. For orders with multiple items, this system usually overcharges. It can not think for itself and realize several items can be consolidated into one package. We do everything we can to keep your costs to the minimum. To the pleasant surprise of many clients we do refund overcharging done by the automatic system. Due to the costs involved with processing an order, if the total cost of the products ordered comes to less than $50.00, any overcharge on shipping costs will not be refunded. There is a $5.00 fee to process the refund and because PayPal does not refund any of their fees charged to use their service, the refund will be less their fee. 

To find out an estimated cost for shipping charges, put all your items in the shopping cart, checkout, fill in your address information and Canada Post's Automated system will give you a quote. By filling in everything up to this point, your order is not placed. You choose to continue to process the order only after you know an estimated charge.

If you find the shipping charge quote given to you on the web site is high or suggests the order will be sent in several boxes and you would like a more accurate price, do not complete the order on line. When there is a need to send several packages, we also work with a shipping wholesaler. Contact us by email, info@babysecure.ca listing the items and your address.  We will email back with a more accurate idea shipping costs. Payment would then be processed via an e-transfer. Payment for orders outside of Canada will be arranged through PayPal, with applicable fees, to process the exchange rate.

Babysecure could not exist if not for sale of products. With the sale of these products, Babysecure gives expert advice about them and their installation. Please consider the value of this service to you. Is the expense of the shipping costs worth the access to have this knowledgeable and experienced recommendations given about your unique childproofing circumstances? Consider as well the costs of going out to buy locally as opposed to having everything you need arrive at your door. If the contents of an order are substantially reduced, a fee will be accessed to cover the service provided.

Canada Post has a service for small businesses who sign up with them that for the same costs as the standard level delivery service, they bump up the service to next Express Post level. It is most often a quicker service.This is why there is no option for the lesser service with the shopping cart.

The Canada Post Automated System is not able to calculate the shipping quote of some items, particularly those sold by the linear foot.  If  "There were problems getting a shipping quote". appears in the quote box, Contact Us with the list of the items you are looking to get, with your address details and we will give you an estimated amount. If your package is too large for the postal service, we will ship using the best price ground courier service. 

Larger or oversize items are heavier and can be associated with greater fees. Also, orders shipped to more remote areas may have additional costs. If shipping charges are more expensive than indicated on your web order, you will be contacted by phone or by email prior to your order being shipped so that you can be approve any shipping surcharge.

 Delivery Time

We ship all orders promptly, usually same day. In the Montreal/Toronto areas delivery is generally next day. For areas stretching outside, allow for 4-6 business days to the East and West Coasts. When the order is completed to send, an email with a tracking number will give you an idea of when to expect delivery. Please Contact Us if you do not receive within the time given.  Orders to the U.S. can expect longer than given projected delivery times and may not have guaranteed times.

For mutual security, all packages require a signature upon delivery to verify reception. If you are not available at the time of delivery, the courier will leave a card. This card will provide the time and address of the local depot where you can pick up your package. Some couriers will allow you to leave a signed, dated note if you are not available at the time of delivery.

Please note that if the package is not collected within the specified time, it will be returned to us, and you will be responsible for the return shipping fees (packages returned from the U.S. may incur added customs and duty fees) and any reshipping costs.

If this process is inconvenient, we recommend providing an alternative "SHIP TO" address, such as that of a family member or a business where someone will be available to receive the package during business hours.

 

 

Backorders

We make very effort to have stock of our products at all times. We will only send out complete orders. If for some reason we are out of stock of an item in your order, we will contact you with the expected delay time. You can then choose to cancel, part ship or wait.

Pick Up

If you are in the Montreal area, you are welcome to come pick up the order in Beaconsfield. People often want to pick up thinking the shipping charges are higher than what they really are. Frequently however, once you consider the costs involved with gas, environment, your time and effort or working around baby nap times, paying for next day delivery service to their door is worth the expense.

If you do want to pick up an order, email your list rather than processing within the web site. The shopping cart does not process orders without shipping costs.

 Returns & Exchanges

When packages are received they should be checked to see if the order has the correct content. Please notify Babysecure within 15 days if there is an error and the missing items will be sent out. If notified after this time, missing items will be sent for the cost of shipping.

We will accept unused items in original undamaged packages returned within 15 days for exchange or full refund, less any delivery charges. If returned past the 15 day point then product will only be refunded at 50% of cost. CHILD SAFETY GATES must be returned with all the original packing material. Loose items put in packages may damage items in shipping and render them not resalable. Please package items carefully. For health reasons, certain items, particularly made of fabric, are not returnable. Products which use adhesive, unless unused, can not be returned.

We do not warranty that the products which use adhesives will stick or that the adhesives can be removed when finished with the product. Factors such as combinations of, following instructions, humidity, different types of surfaces, sunlight and use, are only a few of the variables which can affect adhesion in different homes. Some products which use adhesive work very well, and are explained as such in their product description. 

To insure returned items are not misplaced in transit, you are required to first obtain a return number by e-mailing your request to info@babysecure.ca and stating the reason for the return. We do not pay for return shipping/duty charges and do not accept products returned without the Return Authorization Number (RAN) clearly marked on the outside of the package. Be sure to keep your tracking number when you send the package. Any order sent back, "Return to Sender" without a RAN number will be subjet to a 25% restocking fee. Return address is given with RAN number. Send "No Signature" required.

Please send exchanges or returns, along with the RAN number, your name, address, phone number, shopping cart list, invoice number or copy of invoice to Babysecure,  For return of large items not taken by the Postal Service, Contact Us by email, info@babysecure.ca for specific arrangements. Refunds are processed through PayPal.

Bargain Specials are greatly reduced and not refundable.

 

Packaging

We do everything to keep shipping costs down and will consolidate items in the least amount of packages. We proudly recycle packing materials. Many of our products, we buy in bulk and there is no packaging. For products acquired in packaging we break packages so that you buy only the number that you need.  We will remove items from their packaging if it helps to reduce the size of the package and the shipping charges. If instructions to install are not included in your package, they can be found in their product description on the web site.

Product Warranty Information

Babysecure, Inc. does not manufacture the products offered in our online catalog. Manufacturers' warranties are provided with the products sold and Babysecure, Inc. does not offer any further warranty or guarantee. Effectiveness of each product depends on installation and use. The products offered can reduce the likelihood of injury and should make your home a safer environment for your child. All products are to be used under adult supervision. Babysecure Inc.'s liability is limited to replacing, exchanging or refunding the cost of any products which do not meet your satisfaction given the terms above. Prices are subject to change.
